This winter, your earrings have to bring on the attention — it’s all about the statement. Our personal favorite statement form is the drop earring style. These need to be oversized, over-the-top or have an interesting and unique detail. We saw this look from Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren and Marni in their Fall/Winter 2016 ready to wear shows.

2. Crystal Jewelry

Crystal is an especially dynamic and versatile material for use in jewelry. Whether the stone is in its raw or polished form, the look is always a unique statement. The stone can be a the focus of the piece or used for a glittering accent. Either way the stone is used, it’s trending for the winter season. Our favorite from the runway was in raw, statement form at the Lanvin Fall/Winter 2015 ready to wear show.

3. Fringe Jewelry

This look is inspired by the ’70s trend that’s swept the fashion world in 2015. Fringe jewelry is the perfect accessory for your retro outfit. Our favorite look:tassel necklaces. We were inspired by the tassel earrings on the Lanvin Fall/Winter runway.

4. Buckles and Cuffs

Last year was all about stacks and layering jewelry. This year, it’s about the large, statement pieces — and this is the case for the bracelet. This season, stay on trend with an oversized cuff. We also liked the buckle motif on these large pieces. Our favorite from the runway: the large, detailed cuffs from Chanel, of course.

5. Geometric Designs

Structured, clean lines in new and interesting patterns took the runway this season. We saw the sleek and modern jewelry paired with both loose and flowing looks as well as clean cut contemporary apparel. Angular earrings or surprising rings are a simple way to elevate your look. We especially loved the geometric drop earrings from Anteprima.
