1. Hubolt

@Dilusso.us

We obviously love the Hubolt watch in this photo, but the accessories make this an amazing photo. There’s Goyard, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford, Hermes Saint Laurent Paris and more.

However, the classic and bold design of the Hubolt truly stands out in the pile of luxury accessories. The strong case and blue bracelet give this watch a unique and tasteful look.

2. Michele

@EmilySklar The Michele Deco is one of the best watches for accessorizing. It’s sleek and polished look make it a the perfect compliment to your arm party stack. This watch is easy to dress up or down, making it great for everyday wear. This fashion watch even has a Swiss movement and excellent craftsmanship to boot!
3. Rolex

@Mirko1704The Yachtmaster is massive watch from Rolex. It’s unique complication is rather limited to Yacht racing, however that makes it all the more interesting. As far as men’s watches go, this is a rare “statement watch” that still maintains a classic and tasteful appeal. This is a sport watch that’s perfect for the summer and casual wear.
4. IWC

@IWCwatchesThis is the IWC Portugieser Yacht Club chronograph. It’s sporty and stylish with the signature IWC dial that’s clean, large and easy to read.We love this photo not just for the views, but because it’s the Yacht Club where it’s meant to be — in the water. The water resistant specifications and rubber bracelet make this one of the more effective boating watches.

Pantone’s Fall Color Palette

Pantone, a color consulting agency in New Jersey, is the authority in the world of color. Every year, the company’s committee of color experts predicts the palettes for the spring and fall seasons. In December, the wine-colored marsala was selected as 2015’s color of the year. Though marsala has gotten the most attention, there’s an entire palette of colors to explore for this fall season called “An Evolving Color Landscape.” We selected five of our favorites below.

1. Marsala
[T&Co. Necklace][Cartier Watch][Chopard Ring][Stephen Webster Cuff]

The wine-red hue is a warm shade for fall that can serve as a compliment to a brighter color or act as a statement on its own. Marsala is a decadent shade that manages sophistication and earthiness all at once. It works for a boho fashion sense and a more refined style. Marsala is a versatile shade that deserves its place as 2015’s color of the year.

2. Reflecting Pond

[Cartier Watch][Chopard Earrings][Pasquale Bruni Necklace][Pomellato Ring]

In contrast to the warmth of Marsala, reflecting pond is a deep and cool-toned blue. It’s a slight variation of navy blue for those looking for a similar effect, but a subtle change. The shade has recently been used by designers Carlos Campos, ADEAM and Charles Youseff.

3. Cadmium Orange

[Citrine Ring][Carnelian Earrings][Agate Necklace][Citrine Earrings]

This season has seen the resurgence of ’70s and ’80s retro style — and this includes the bright colors. Cadmium orange is bright, slightly peachy and 100 percent eye catching. If you want to try out the retro look, but are too afraid to go all the way, consider trying jewelry in a bright orange like cadmium orange.

4. Cashmere Rose

[David Yurman Necklace][Pasquale Bruni Ring][Roberto Coin Earrings][Cartier Watch]

Like cadmium orange, cashmere rose is an ode to the ’60s fashion trends. The soft pink is sweeter and subtler than the orange hue, but it can serve a statement too. The pink hue compliments every skin tone and is a less daring color choice for a retro look that can read modern.

5. Amethyst Orchid

[Pasquale Bruni Ring][David Yurman Bracelet][Rolex Watch][Pomellato Ring]

Finally, amethyst orchid is a bold and vibrant purple shade that gives a royal feel. The bright shade is exciting and simple to incorporate into your every day attire — especially in jewelry. Find the right accessory by choosing the gemstone in the shade’s name. Amethyst is a beautiful stone and easy to find for all kinds of jewelry.

Top 5 Fall Jewelry Styles

Look your best this season with the perfect accessories for your fall looks. The diversity of trends this years makes it easy to choose styles that fit your fashion best. Check out our top five favorite trends and items for the fall.

1. Statement Earrings
[YSL Earrings][Chanel Earrings]

This new trend is something big. Oversized and eye-catching earrings are all the rage on the streets and on the runways. Add some excitement to your look with striking colors and enormous logos. The statement earring look is customizable to any fashion sense. It’s also a look that won’t dull throughout the season.

2. Golden Tone Rings
[YG & WG Amethyst Ring][Espresso Rings]

As the temperature cools, warm your looks with gold-toned rings. The options are nearly endless, but the subtle change in tone will transition your look easily into the autumn season. You can take it a step farther and choose rings with marsala-colored gemstones for the trendiest fall accessory.

3. Fall Color Palette

[Michael Kors Watch][Kate Space Necklace]

We love the calm and natural earth tones of the fall. That’s why we love the idea of replicating these colors in our accessories. Tortoiseshell watch bracelets, like this Michael Kors, have this natural-looking effect. This Kate Spade statement necklace has all the elements of the perfect fall design.

4. Daring Pearls
[Chanel Earrings][Lanvin Necklace]

This trend is straight off the runway. Designers like Givenchy and Lanvin dared to update classic pearls in their fall 2015 RTW runway shows. All this look takes is a step away from a string of pearls and adding a daring edge. You can choose a pair of statement earrings — oversized and decked with logos like these Chanel earrings. You can also simply choose a necklace with an irregular pattern like this necklace from Lanvin.

5. Diamond Edge
[Cartier Tonneau Watch][Pave Heart][Pave Circle][T&C Diamonds By the Yard]

As the days get shorter and the nights longer, you will definitely need to add a bit of shine and sparkle to your wardrobe. What better way than diamond-encrusted jewelry? This is a versatile look too. You can add as little sparkle as the dial of your watch or you can layer as many diamond-encrusted necklaces as you wish.

Trending Jewelry Designers for Fall 2015

It’s finally fall, and though you may be hanging onto the last few weeks of summer, we are preparing for the fall fashion season. We’ve looked through our most recent bestsellers to see which designers are on top for fall 2015. The results are in and we noticed that trending jewelry designers hailed from France, Italy and America.

1. French Designers

The most popular French designers are the classics. Cartier has preformed the strongest with the eternal style of the Love collection. This collection has only gained in popularity recently, and this is true for the fall as well.

Statement necklaces have given way to a smaller alternative. The statement earring is a new trend picking up speed for the fall. What jewelry maker does better with statement earrings than Chanel? The popularity of vintage Chanel earrings show that Coco’s vision of style remains timeless.

Other notable French designers include trendy YSL pieces, classic Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra pieces, and Hermes
enamel bangles.

2. Italian Designers

Bulgari has been preforming strongly for the fall. Rings have been the most popular followed by chain necklaces and bracelets and watches from the Serpenti collection. Yellow gold is the metal of choice for the popular B.Zero1 collection.

Roberto Coin has steadily increased in popularity leading up to the fall. This Italian designer has been wildly successful since his first collection in 1996. Coin produces up to 600 new designs a year, and with high quality craftsmanship, his pieces are designed to last. Coin’s most popular pieces have largely included cocktail rings with diamond accents.

Other Italian designers worth mentioning are Pasquale Bruni and Damiani. Pasquale Bruni’s most popular items have been charms for his charm bracelets. The Metropolitan rings have been the most popular for Damiani.

3. American Designers

A number of our favorite American designers have also been trending up. David Yurman’s famous cable bracelet collections has continue to see success and this trend is staying for fall 2015. We’ve also seen a rise in John Hardy’s strong and unisex designs, especially for men’s bracelets. Judith Ripka pieces are also becoming increasingly popular.

4. Swiss Watches

Finally, though not jewelry, watches deserve a mention. Of course our most popular watchmakers are of the Swiss variety. Our most recent top performers include Rolex, Breitling and Omega.

Favorite Rolex models include the Submariner and Datejust. Breitling favorites are the Chronomat and Worldtimer. For Omega, the favorites are the Seamaster, Speedmaster and Flightmaster.

1. The Official Matador

This photo from @theofficialmatador is the perfect summer snap and we can’t help but be a little jealous of this relaxing spot in Porto Cervo, Italy. Everything’s right with this photo down to the styling. The iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is paired with an Hermes bandeau for perfect luxury.

2. Watch Girl NYC

We love this photo from @watchgirlnyc. The bold design of the Patek Philippe Nautilus is a refreshing look on a woman’s watch. These are Ref. 5712/1a and Ref. 3710/1a. With several complications or few, the Nautilus is a classic.

3. Watch Anish

The Instagram account @watchanish is for the popular watch blog of the same name. We love this snap of Van Cleef & Arpels Pierre Arpels Heure d’Ici & Heure d’Ailleurs. This men’s timepiece is clean and sophisticated while featuring a dual time complication. We’re also fans of our hometown, NYC, in the second photo.

4. Watch Fashionista

Everything about this photo from @watch_fashionista is wonderful. Our eyes landed on the Chanel bag, but the Cartier Ballon Bleu stole our attention as always. With the diamond bezel, this watch is the definition of refined luxury — a must have in any collection.

How to Authenticate Roberto Coin Jewelry

Started in 1977, Roberto Coin is a comparatively young fine jewelry brand but it has quickly become an international sensation. This boom in popularity, however, leaves Roberto Coin’s ornate and intricate designs vulnerable to counterfeiters. Here are our six key tips to pick out real Roberto Coin jewelry from the fakes.

1. The Signature Ruby Inset

In 1996, Roberto Coin began using a completely unique and unprecedented designer signature: a hidden ruby. This tiny stone was set on the inside of every piece in step with the ancient believe that wearing a ruby close to the skin lead to a long, happy and healthy life.

Many—but not all—Roberto Coin pieces have a small ruby set on its inside or under side. The brand began production in 1977 but did not introduce their ruby signature until 1996. Therefore, alleged Roberto Coin vintage styles pre-dating 1996 that include a ruby signature are forgeries.

It’s also worth noting: Since adopting this signature, Roberto Coin has switched to using synthetic rubies in an attempt to end the use of rubies of conflict such as Myanmar (formerly Burma).

2. Hallmarks and Gold Content

Roberto Coin sources its gold and produces its jewelry in Vicenza, Italy. Vicenza, known as The City of Gold, produces some of the world’s highest quality gold. Most European jewelry has a fineness of .750, or a 75% purity or 18 karats. To mark its high quality gold, Roberto Coin jewelry is stamped with an 18K or 18KT and less frequently a 750 inside of it.

When examining your jewelry, be sure to check the maker’s mark, a unique stamp to distinguish Roberto Coin jewelry from other jewelers’ work. Robert Coin’s registered mark is 1226VI and should always be stamped into the jewelry.

Because Roberto Coin’s stamps and registered mark are known by any forger, the gold content and 1226VI mark are not definitive signs your pre-owned piece is genuine. The stamps should be very clear and precise. Sloppy stamps or misspellings are immediate indications the item in question is counterfeit.

4. Quality

Roberto Coin uses only high-quality and precious metals like gold and platinum and, to a lesser extent, sterling silver. If you’re able to handle the supposed Roberto Coin item, you should feel the weight of these metals in the piece. Forgers will typically cut corners by using plated metals which are lightweight compared to their authentic counterparts. Similarly, if you see any metal visible beneath the gold or silver, the piece is a gold- or silver-plated fake.

5. Price

Roberto Coin jewelry has high-quality craftsmanship and, because the brand has been operating for only a few decades, his work is not old enough to have suffered significant wear or be classified as true vintage pieces. Therefore, any Roberto Coin pieces for resale should be in good condition and fall within a price range, depending on the item you’re interested in. Establish a general market value by cross-referencing the listings for that particular style across different retailers. If you see a piece of pre-owned Roberto Coin jewelry that is priced significantly lower than the minimum, it’s a good indication the item is a fake.

6. Seller Location

If you’re shopping for pre-owned Roberto Coin jewelry online, it’s important to research the seller’s location. The overwhelming majority of counterfeit goods in circulation come from China so proceed with caution if a seller is based there. You also want to investigate their website to see if the site includes terms and conditions, an About Us page, and a way to contact the seller directly. Scope out other sites for reviews on the seller; steer clear of any seller with questionable reviews that are terse, vague, repetitive, or sound like they were written by the same person, if not the seller themselves. If there is no information on the seller, it’s better to look elsewhere to purchase your Roberto Coin jewelry.

5 Popular Roberto Coin Collections

Roberto Coin’s initial success was rapid and it hasn’t slowed down since. Now, this jeweler creates over 600 new designs each year. With such a massive inventory and so many large collections, you might not know where to start. We’ve put together a list of five of Roberto Coin’s classic and most-favored collections.

5. Black Jade

The Black Jade Collection by Roberto Coin was inspires a classic and vintage appeal. The feminine designs are inherently feminine and definitely glamorous.

While the collection may have a vintage appeal, at the same time, with the combination of green agate and black jade, this collection is undoubtedly an expression of the modern woman.

4. Snake

The snake figure is a muse for Roberto Coin — so much that it’s gotten its own collection. Though Italian jeweler Bulgari produces the famous Serpenti design, Coin’s snake is its own creation entirely.

The Snake Collection is haute jewelry made for the every day wear. It’s bold and daring but also a wearable statement piece and adventurous everyday accessory. It’s featured in every way imaginable from rings and earrings to wrap bracelets and necklaces.

3. Animalier

The animal kingdom has always been a source of inspiration for jewelry designers and Roberto Coin is no different. The Animalier Collection seeks to capture the essence of nature’s most wild creatures.

With detailed and anatomical drawings and designs, the Italian jeweler manages to make wearable art by displaying nature’s most alluring designs in the form of bracelets, rings, pendants, earrings and more.

2. Cocktail

These glamorous pieces are modern updates on the classic cocktail ring. These jewels are all about the statement pieces, and extend to earrings and necklaces too.

The Cocktail collection creates feminine designs through yellow gold and bright and colorful gemstones. The designs are always softened by the round curves of the gem cut and gold setting. Around the edges of the center gem, diamonds often bring an element of light to liven the look.

1. Apassionata

The Appassionata Collection is Roerto Coin’s signature look which he developed over two years of impassioned work. Coincidentally, the collection translates to “passionate.”

The style features a gold mesh-like design that mimics the movement and nature of fabric. The end result is a flexible and vintage looking piece beautiful in its originality. This design was one of the first innovations and accomplishments of Roberto Coin.

Beginning of a Brand: Roberto Coin

Jewelry-making was always a dream for Roberto Coin, but not one that was immediately achieved. Coin’s career first started in hospitality while working as a manager at five-star hotels. Though seemingly unrelated to jewelry, while working in hospitality, Coin learned best how to work for his customer.

After achieving his success in the hotel business, Roberto Coin founded his first jewelry-related business in 1977. In Vicenza, Italy, the city of gold, Coin’s company started in the the production of fine jewelry for top luxury brands.

While he learned from the masters over the years, Coin had also accumulated hundreds of his own jewelry designs and drawings that were eventually made into reality. In 1996, Roberto Coin went in a different direction and launched its first jewelry collections.

In an unbelievably short period of time, the brand reached great success, gaining an international reputation in fine jewelry. Now, the jewelry company produces an unparalleled 600-1,000 original designs every year.

Roberto Coin has also produced major innovations in the jewelry industry. The Kimberley Process can attribute success to the Italian jeweler. Coin is a member of the Board of Directors of the World Diamond Council which has worked with the United Nations to create the Kimberley Process. The process is an agreement between the UN, the governments’ of diamond-producing countries and NGOs that is against the trafficking and sourcing of diamonds from areas of conflict.

Coin has been in avid support of conflict-free material sourcing. His signature hallmark, a ruby inserted on the inside of a jewelry piece, is now synthetically produced. The jeweler has stated that the only way he can be sure his signature ruby is conflict-free and ethically sourced is by using synthetically produced diamonds completely free of association with Myanmar (Burma).

Roberto Coin has also worked closely with master diamond-cutters to create a new cut that enhances fire, brilliance and scintillation. His cut is called the Cento cut, after the Italian word for 100. The cut is a modified brilliant that features a total of 100 facets and enhances the sparkle of Roberto Coin diamonds.
