We’ve watched this trend slowly build as of late. But after this New York Fashion Week you’ll be seeing it everywhere. Statement earrings were the go-to accessory for many of our runway favorites. Even though so many shows featured the look, we never got tired. Statement earrings are one of the most versatile trends of the year, so check out these five ways to wear it straight from the runway.

1. Carolina Herrera

At Carolina Herrera we saw a sweet and simple take on the statement earring. Instead of the bold and brash look we are used to seeing from this trend, Herrera’s look imitated a more natural-looking floral motif.

2. Tome

Tome’s spring RTW show gave us the opposite of the Carolina Herrera’s delicate flowers. This time nature was depicted in massive metal that reached all the way down to the shoulders.

3. Rodarte

Rodarte upped the ante with their oversized styles. This time we were shown updated chandelier-style earrings, bringing this style back on trend and bigger and better than ever.

4. Tibi

Tibi proved that bigger isn’t always better with this small, single earring. Less is more with this look which uses its unusual asymmetry to bring attention to this swizzle stick inspired accessory.

5. Alexander Wang

We love Alexander Wang’s combination of two trends — the chain link and statement earring. The smaller size of the earrings makes the chain trend more manageable. At the same time the chain links make this earrings trend effortlessly cool.
