We take a look at the five most expensive Chopard watches and the dazzling amount of stones that earn them such jaw-droppingly high price tags.
5. Chopard Imperiale Quartz 28 mm White Gold – $90,6000 USD
Given the petite case size (28 mm), Chopard classifies the Imperiale as its most feminine collection. That said, the Chopard Imperiale is still a weighty piece. This extravagant timepiece is completely covered in pave, round brilliant-cut diamonds (that total 9.61 carats), set in 18K white gold. Even the crown and lugs are finished with inverted diamonds to give the already stunning Chopard Imperiale an added sparkle. And, should you want to go swimming, the Imperiale watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
4. Chopard L.U.C Tourbillon Baguette – $240,000 USD
The limited-edition Chopard L.U.C. Tourbillion Baguette is a breathtaking blend of horology and fine jewelry craftsmanship. Watch collectors will be impressed by the chronometer-certified L.UC. 02.01-L tourbillon movement that bears the prestigious stamp of the Poincon de Genève. This Chopard L.U.C. is set with over 300 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling 27 carats. And to only heighten its allure, only 25 of these watches were ever produced by Chopard.
3. Chopard Secret Watch – $508,000 USD
The Chopard Secret watch derives its name from the diamond-covered hinged door that covers its dial. Only two of these stunning Chopard Secret watches were ever produced. And while the rarity certainly raises the cost, the Secret Watch is studded with a massive amount of precious stones. The square-shaped dial is covered in pave diamonds and the case is set with a total of 19 carats worth of baguette-, square- and brilliant-cut diamonds. The stain strap closes with a diamond clasp.
2. Chopard Super Ice Cube – $1.1 Million USD
The Chopard Super Ice Cube is an incredibly unique-looking timepiece. The diamond stones (totaling a whopping 66 carats) are carved and set in white gold to look like rows of square ice cubes. For all its sparkle, the Chopard Super Ice Cub is solidly built with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal face and is water-resistant to 50 meters.
1. Chopard 201 Carat Watch – Estimated $25 Million USD
The Chopard 201 Carat Watch is brilliantly covered in 874 high-grade yellow, blue, white and pink diamonds, which collectively weigh an amazing 163 carats.
